$8,000 First Home Buyer Tax Credit has been EXTENDED
Great news for first time home buyers, the government has extended the $8,000! If you are purchasing your first home, or haven't owned a home in 3 years, you are eligible for this tax credit. But DON'T WAIT. You must have a contract on your home before April 30, 2010 and close on your new home before June 30, 2010. New $6,500 Tax Credit
Not a first time home buyer? The government just passed a different tax credit if you have owned a home for at least 5 years. If you are moving into a new home and have owned a home for 5 years you probably qualify for the $6,500 tax credit. The same time line applies for this tax credit. You must have a contract in place on the new home before April 30, 2010 and you must close before June 30, 2010.
